The founder of Vista Dermatology, Karla N. Muñoz, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist. In private practice for the past twelve years, Dr. Muñoz is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, the number one ranked medical school in the United States. During her medical education, she completed a year-long Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship in metastatic melanoma.
Dr. Muñoz completed her dermatology residency at Stanford University, a top ranked dermatology program where she also served as Chief Resident during her final year. Her undergraduate degree in molecular, cell and developmental biology is from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where she graduated with highest honors. She was born and raised in San Diego, California, but has called San Antonio home for several years now.
